YG Entertainment issues second statement about Daesung’s car accident

As Daesung’s car accident continues to be investigated, the taxi driver that was rear-ended by the Big Bang star revealed that Daesung had in fact been driving at 60km/h. A police statement previously asserted that Daesung was driving at 80km/h, but YG Entertainment has spoken out and argued that there are many different factors to this incident, and that it should be regarded as a complex case.
On May 31st, a YG Entertainment representative stated,
The taxi driver who was rear-ended by Daesung has said that Daesung had not been driving that fast; he said that he felt he had driven at about 60 km/h. Although Daesung was the one who told the authorities that he was driving at 80 km/h,  this was said while he was in a state of great shock and confusion.”
The site of the accident is on a downhill slope – isn’t it normal for most drivers to not have their foot on the accelerator while driving downhill? Therefore, in order to find at what speed Daesung was driving at, there must be an on-site investigation.
Previously, the Seoul Youngdeung-Po Police Department stated,
Daesung violated the rules for safe driving by not being able to see in front of him while driving at 80 km/h. If Daesung had in fact been driving at 80 km/h (where the speed limit was 60 km/h), it would be considered to be a speed limit violation. However, because that figure was part of Daesung’s testimony, in order to find out exactly how fast he was going, more investigation needs to be done.
Meanwhile, the police are examining the accident in great detail, combing through certain facts like how the motorcyclist was already bleeding before Daesung’s accident, leading to a theory of a possible prior hit-and-run. According to the police, Daesung seemed to have not seen the motorcyclist because he was scrambling to brake when he saw the stopped taxi in front of him.
It’s been revealed that Daesung hadn’t been driving under the influence and that the taxi driver did not sustain any major injuries. After the accident, Daesung and the taxi driver underwent five hours of investigation by the authorities before returning home.
At the police station, Daesung said, “There was one car behind the taxi in the first lane. When both cars suddenly moved to the second lane, I couldn’t avoid hitting the taxi that had returned to the first lane to stop.
The police revealed, “We plan to find the cause of the motorcyclist’s death. In order to determine if the motorcyclist had died due to Daesung’s car, we had requested a detailed analysis from the National Institute of Scientific Investigation and have obtained the CCTV footage from the area. We plan to investigate this scientifically.
When the motorcycle was found, it found standing more than 10m away from the motorcyclist. Whether this was due to a hit-and-run or another previous accident will be investigated with the Highway Department.”
It appears that results of the motorcycle analysis will take up to 7-10 days.
Daesung has received much shock due to this accident. A YG representative revealed, ”After finishing the police investigation at 7AM, Daesung has returned to his dorm with his manager.
YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk said, “We will continue to follow the results that the police investigations reveal regarding the accident. Currently, Daesung’s distress is not due to his mistake, but due to his sorrow for the motorcyclist who died due to an accident.”

Sandara wrote on her me2day, “Ah! Everyone was very excited and had a lot of fun because we performed in such a long time, and there was even this big gift! We’re always like this and we are not good at making award speeches! ㅠ But how can we describe everything in words!“.
She continued, “Our dependable CEO! Teddy god! Kush! And our fans~ Everyone who likes our music!” and uploaded a celebratory picture.
Sandara also added, “2NE1 will continue to repay you all with good music! Our next single is…? It’s a secret! Aigoo~ The king’s ear is a donkey’s ear! My mouth tickles.”

Yang Hyun Suk plans to make 2011 2NE1’s year

Yang Hyun Suk explains, “Rather than having either Big Bang or 2NE1 go on whatever program many times, we try to pick stages with better standards and enjoy it.
He also put his foot down on the rumors that he was especially close to SBS.
It’s true I receive misunderstandings. Counting from my Seo Taiji and Kids days, I’ve been in the broadcasting business for about 30 years. If I wanted to be close to anyone affiliated with the broadcasting business, I could, but I don’t. This is because I always keep one rule: which producers of which programs will let YG artists shine the most?
Yang Hyun Suk then clarified that the reason why he works well with SBS’s “Inkigayo” was because of producer Park Suk Hoon, who’s reportedly the best in directing shows; he could also pick out the accurate points in dance choreographies.

Moving on, Yang Hyun Suk also revealed 2NE1’s ambitious aspirations. “I have a plan to make this year 2NE1’s year. From April 21st, we kept working without rest. Teddy has already made about six songs and they’re all really good. With my producer’s instinct, I have a feeling that they’ll all be hit songs. ‘Do you want to listen to 2NE1’s songs since they’re really good?’ is the kind of promotion I want to do.
2NE1 is already leading a ‘first place parade’ with their new song, breaking past MBC’s ‘I Am A Singer’ chart domination. The girls are now preparing for the release of their follow-up song.

2NE1’s Sandara Park the… shoe designer?

2NE1’s Sandara Park has transformed into a sneaker designer.
On May 27th, Dara uploaded a picture through her me2day account along with the message, “Tada!!! This is a sneaker that I made directly at Adidas!!! Isn’t it totally cute? You’ll probably know when you see it, but I made it while thinking of Blackjacks! Designer San’s first product!!! Even though this is a one-of-a-kind shoe, it feels like a waste to wear it by myself, I want it to be ‘couple’ shoes with Blackjacks~ I will think about it!”

Yang Hyun Suk plans to make 2011 2NE1’s year

2NE1 debuted three years ago, but in my eyes, they still look like rookies. I think that’s synonymous to how they haven’t had that many activities or exposure through TV. Therefore, 2NE1 still has quite a bit to show. This year will be the year to settle it all.

The above statement was made by YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk, expressing his views on 2NE1’s impending return to the music industry. Coming back with ‘Lonely’ eight months after dropping their first studio album, 2NE1 has been sweeping Korean music charts, even scoring a perfect all-kill in major charts in May.
Expanding further on the topic of 2NE1’s potential, Yang Hyun Suk said, “They aren’t popular singers. They’re just starting now. This year is the year that they’ll reach their peak, both publically and musically. Around the time of their debut, many people criticized me with ‘Yang Hyun Suk went insane’, ‘He’s going to get it soon’, and ‘He’s arrogant’ because 2NE1, who were rookies, went out on music programs only once a week. It’s just my opinion that 2NE1’s a unique group and that they should be promoted in their own way.
Though most entertainment companies flaunt their power through how many times they can put their singers on TV, YG Entertainment does the opposite. Yang Hyun Suk explains, “Rather than having either Big Bang or 2NE1 go on whatever program many times, we try to pick stages with better standards and enjoy it.
He also put his foot down on the rumors that he was especially close to SBS. “It’s true I receive misunderstandings. Counting from my Seo Taiji and Kids days, I’ve been in the broadcasting business for about 30 years. If I wanted to be close to anyone affiliated with the broadcasting business, I could, but I don’t. selena gomez is beautiful and talented. all the people that keep leaving those messages are just jealous and need to grow the fuck up and realize what they are doing is wrong. the LAST thing we need is more mindless HATE in this world. just watch the news and look at how badly people treat each other. none of the “haters” are helping the cause. they are just bringing more people down. the sad thing is that all of them could read all of these comments left supporting her, and none of them would change the hatred pouring out of these haters. they’re too wrapped up in themselves to care about anyone else’s feelings.

YES they kissed!! because they’re DATING! if you just won a big award wouldn’t you be exited and want to share it with the one you love??

Gomez told Seventeen's May issue that she didn't like "hiding" their relationship anymore.

"At the end of the day, I'm 18, and I'm going to fall in love," she explained. "I'm going to hang out with people, and I'm going to explore myself, and I'm okay with that."

Justin Bieber "Atittude Problem"?

MANILA, Philippines – Manila may have just gotten a taste of Canadian pop star Justin Bieber’s alleged infamous reputation.

According to psychologists for E! News, Justin Bieber has an “attitude” problem. And there are danger signs that it could get only worse. E! News reports that Justin doesn’t listen to his mother (Pattie Malette) anymore. They say JB doesn’t have any parental guidance or discipline at all. He also has a group of his “people” who work for him and who he bosses around.
In videos aired on GMA’s “24 Oras” on Wednesday and on “Unang Hirit” the following day, Bieber can be seen walking hurriedly and, at one point, asking his fans to get out of his way.

Following these, a video clip is now spreading in the internet, which shows Bieber ignoring a fan at the Ninoy Aquino Internatial Airport who only wished to have his CD signed by the singer.
The video was posted by “V7 Andrea” on YouTube. He is allegedly an employee of NAIA.

The incident happened as Bieber made his way inside the plane. According to the video description, v7andrea’s father, an airport employee “in neon green vest” attempted to secure an autograph from the singer for v7andrea’s sister.

“But take a look on what he did. He tapped my father's hand and the cd fell on the floor. Nobody from his crew helped him. Not even an apology from Justin Bieber himself.

“Where are your manners now kiddo? I know you’re sick but you could’ve at least said sorry you are not signing anything. How could you do that to my father?”

Users comments on the video sharing site, Bieber’s Pinoy die-hard fans defended what their idol did was understandable because of his condition. It was reported that Bieber was sick during his Mall of Asia concert May 10 and even vomited between songs.

TV host Tim Yap, just the same, understands Bieber’s “rude” manner. “We must understand that he is 17 years old. He came on the day of the concert itself. From airport, he went straight to the press conference and then after the press conference, the concert,” he said in a TV interview.

Justin Bieber on accusation of being a brat

On May 9, Bieber took to Twitter to express sentiments without directly identifying the issue or the offending party.

JUSTIN BIEBER has spoken out about being called "a brat" by Marg Helgenberger of 'CSI,' the crime drama that featured the pop star in the role of a violent teen for two episodes.

“it's kinda lame when someone you met briefly and never worked with comments on you. I will continue to wish them luck and be kind.”

"I shouldn't be saying this, but um, he was kind of a brat," Helgenberger told France's "Le Grand Direct des Medias" radio show. "He locked one of the producers in a closet...and he put his fist through a cake that was on the craft service table." Despite her negative comments, Helgenberger admitted that she herself had no trouble with the teen idol. "He was very nice to me."

"Rumors are just that...rumors," Bieber added. "In the end if you just be kind and be yourself people will know who you are. That goes for anyone I think."

And then, he managed to squeeze in one more tweet that seemed to pertain to the issue: “dont spread gossip and dont spread rumors about others...im a kid and i know that. #respect”.

The staggering cost of 2NE1’s “Lonely” MV outfits revealed!

Big Bang and 2NE1’s favorite brands for their one-of-a-kind art-like designs and their exceptional details.
A representative said:
Not only is it expensive, but it is a designer label that rarely provides wardrobe to celebrities. Occasionally, fashionable actors receive sponsored pieces for special award ceremony-like events, but favorably, 2NE1 has been the only singers to receive sponsored pieces for the past few years.
The total cost of 2NE1’s wardrobe for their “Lonely” music video comes out to about 200 million won (~$183,800 USD), but the production costs of the music came in lower at 150 million won (~$137,800 USD). Therefore, the wardrobe for the music video actually exceeded the production costs for the music!
This type of dedication to their outfits is nothing new though, as Park Bom previously received much attention for the $20,000 Alexander McQueen dress in her “Don’t Cry” music video.

What did Dara lecture about at Yonsei University?

Dara reported used her two-year experience with social networking site ‘Me2day’ as the base of her lecture. She currently has over 350,000 Me2day friends, with whom she actively reaches out to with posts both personal and professional.

Although she is 2NE1’s communications director, Dara began the lecture with, “I’m not in a position to be giving lectures, so I’d like to use your precious class time to discuss what goes on at the scene.” After talking a bit about her thoughts on using Me2day to communicate with her fans, she went on to reveal that “sincerity, fun, and naturalness” were of the utmost importance with SNS use, not just to solely marketing.

Professor Lee Mun Kyu commented, “After we came upon the social networking age, I always thought that Dara was one of the successful cases in Korea.  I think it’s quite meaningful that she was here to join us today in class and talk directly with the students.”

Immediately after the lecture, students used their own Twitters to praise, “Dara’s not only gorgeous, but also has a certain calm to her that makes lectures fun.” The lecture was originally meant for 100 students, but after hearing that it was Dara giving the lecture, five times the amount showed up, creating a bustling atmosphere.

Kim Tae Ho and Park Myung Soo praise Big Bang and G-Dragon

It was recently unveiled that PD Kim Tae Ho and comedian Park Myung Soo of MBC’s “Infinity Challenge” travelled to Japan to watch Big Bang’s currently ongoing tour.

On May 16th at midnight, PD Kim Tae Ho wrote on his Twitter, “GD wore a light cast on his ankle today, but the concert was still great. It was a really admirable sight.”

He continued, “To be honest, personally speaking, I had always wondered whether I was at the peak of my “development”, but what I felt at the Big Bang concert made me realize that I had a lot of things I still lack in, and a lot of things I still need to learn, to the extent where I wonder what I’ve been doing this whole time. I will be constantly studying from now.”

According to a YG representative, G-Dragon had to receive treatment at the hospital after suffering an injury to his leg on stage. “It’s not a big injury, so there’s no need to worry. It has not caused any impediment to the concert,” they explained.

PD Kim then tweeted a funny conversation between comedian Park Myung Soo and GD after the concert, which read, “Myungsoo hyung said, “G-Dragon! Just because I’m old, doesn’t mean I’m the hyung. You’re more successful than me, so you can be my hyung. What does age matter? So buy me a meal! Hyung!”
